Worship

grace

On Sunday evenings, students gather for Holy Communion at 6 p.m. in companionship with members of  Grace Episcopal Church at 10th Street and Broadway

Students and community members gather for story, song, prayer, and the ancient mandate that we remember Christ when we break bread and drink wine together.  We do this in the traditions of the Episcopal Church found in the Book of Common Prayer and other resources.

Worship is both personal and communal.  All are welcome – to join us, to ask questions, to watch and pray, to share in our fellowship, and to connect with God and one another.

Preparing for Sunday

night prayer

On Wednesday nights students gather for an ecumenical Night Prayer service at 9 p.m.

in the Chapel of the Catholic Center at NYU (238 Thompson Street).

This beautiful, candlelit, late evening prayer service invites contemplation, song, restfulness and reflection.

Its intent is to center God’s people, quieten our souls and prepare us for restfulness so that we may face each new day refreshed, ready to engage in the work of God’s mission both in our lives and in the world, together.

Led by the Canterbury Downtown Choral Scholars, and offered to the campus community at large,

all are welcome to come, to sit, to listen, to sing, to rest, to pray, together.
