Canterbury Downtown

Racial (In)Justice

This Friday, December 12th, please join the NYU community at the Kimmel Center Staircase, 60 Washington Square South, between 10:30AM and 11:00AM. Together, we will mourn the losses of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, and others who have been targeted unjustly in this country. Come to reflect, to grieve, to pray, and to meditate together prior to Racial (In)Justice: A Teach In, which will take place inside Kimmel, room 914.

This vigil is co-sponsored by Global Spiritual Life, Black Student Union, Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life, Catholic Center, Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, Center for Student Activities Leadership and Service, Islamic Center, Kimmel Operations, LGBTQ Student Center, and Protestant Life Affiliate Network.

Immediately following the Vigil for Mourning and Mobilization, enter Kimmel Center and join the NYU Student Diversity team in room 914. A series of hands-on interactive workshops and trainings for long-term action and support regarding the future of race in America will be held. Attendance is not mandatory throughout the entire event; feel free to drop in as you please. RSVP here and see the full schedule and workshop offerings below.
