Queering Faith!


A safe space for all people to participate in dialogue and explore the intersections of faith, non-faith, spirituality, gender, and sexuality.  Starting this Wednesday!

•  Queering Christianity: February 25 7-8PM Kimmel 602. Come and listen as queer Christians share their experiences about wrestling with growing in, and learning to embrace, their faith and identity

•  Queering Judaism: March 11 7-8PM Kimmel 602.  Come join us as student leaders from Keshet, the Bronfman Center’s LGBTG students grou, lead us in a conversation about trans identity in the Jewish community.

•  Queering Atheism: March 30 7-8:30PM GCASL Grand Hall.  Join YAle humanist community chaplain Chris Stedman, Global Spiritual Life, and the LGBTQ Student Center as we explore the interplay between Atheism and Queerness.  Chris, author of “Faithiest: How an Atheist Found Common Ground with the Religious“.  We’ll also discuss the role that Atheists, Agnostics, and Humanists can play in the growing multifaith movement on college campuses and in us.

•  Queering Sacred Texts: April 22 6-7PM Kimmel 602.  What does it mean to reread our sacred texts through a queer lens?  Join us to find out how our identities can shape how we understand and interpret scripture and sacred texts.
