Companions Moving Forward

If you want to help those who are living in fear after the Presidential Election (or if you are living in fear yourself) but are struggling to find a way to do so, consider wearing a safety pin as a symbol of your solidarity. While you’re at it, wear the pins of movements you believe in that proclaim your willingness to stand beside and protect all of God’s children.

Below you will find some worthy causes to consider donating to with your time and money, to continue to build supportive communities moving forward. If there are any non-profits, charities, or organizations you would like to lift up alongside those listed here, E-mail Communications Assistant Abby here.

Active Minds: empowers students to change the perception about mental health on college campuses

Black Lives Matter: a chapter-based national organization working for the validity of Black life

Border Angels: helps to save the lives of migrants

Council on American-Islamic Relations: a leading advocate for justice and mutual understanding

Mazzoni Center: dedicated to meeting the unique health and wellness needs of LGBTQ communities

NextGen Climate: acts politically to prevent climate disaster and promote prosperity for Americans

Planned Parenthood: care for women – no matter what

Don’t forget, simple and random acts of kindness can be just as helpful and life-changing as working with non-profits.

Please make sure that you are taking care of yourself, as well!
